Sally A. Morris (nee Morgan), age 70 of Lorain, died Saturday, March 13, 2010 at New Life Hospice Residential Center, Lorain following a lengthy illness.
She was born Nov. 27, 1939 in Cleveland, living in Texas before coming to Lorain in 1976.
Sally worked for Parker Hannifin Corporation in Avon as a machinist for 13 years, retiring in 1989.
Sally was a member of AARP and enjoyed flowers, gardening, puzzles, and collecting items like blown glass and dolls. She especially enjoyed animals, and feeding the squirrels and birds in her back yard. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister and aunt.
Surviving is her husband of 30 years, Everett; a daughter, Christine (Larry) Courtney of Blue Springs, MS; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; a brother Richard Morgan of Sheffield Village; and a sister, Pat Berrington of Amherst.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert "Wimpy" and Ada Martha (nee Winchester) Morgan; a son, Tom Morris; a brother, Edward Morgan; and sisters, Carol and Katherine.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Rev. Rickie Keesee, associate pastor of Midway Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
