Sandra K. “Sandy” Fowler, age 80, of Lorain, died at her residence on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, following a lengthy illness.
Born September 20, 1942, in Huntington, West Virginia, she lived in Cleveland, Sheffield Lake, and Amherst before moving to Lorain in 2019.
Sandra worked as a housekeeper at Amherst Hospital for over ten years, retiring in 1992.
She loved spending time with her family, smoking cigarettes, and drinking coffee. She enjoyed the flowers around her patio and cherished her dog, Chico, who recently passed away.
She is survived by her sons, Andrew M. Fowler Sr. and Scott (Wendy) Fowler, both of Lorain; daughters, Rhonda Greenleaf and Deborah (Michael) Kampfer, both of Lorain, and Marinda Roman of Elyria; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from noon until the time of services at 3:30 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
Sandra’s grandson, Rev. Doug Walden, Senior Pastor of New Life Church in Somerset, Kentucky, will officiate.
