Sandra F. French

Sandra French (nee Hall), age 68, went on to her heavenly home on December 13, 2020.

Born April 11, 1952 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Carl and Pauline (nee Gillum) Hall Sr., Sandra moved with her parents to Amherst in 1957 where she was raised.  There she attended Amherst City Schools and after schooling she went on to work as a receptionist for Metropolitan Housing.  She was a member of Christian Life Church in Lorain.

She enjoyed bingo, reading, going to church and watching classic television shows.

Surviving are her children, Cheryl Shaffer and Charles (Nancy) Hall Sr.; grandchildren, Adam (Nicole) Shaffer, Jason (Brittainy) Shaffer, Charles Hall Jr., Casey Hall, Dakota Brown and Cole Brown; 9 great grandchildren; brother, David Hall Sr. and his sister, Nina Adams.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Stacy Brown; both of her parents; sons-in-law Alan Shaffer and David Brown; sisters, Dorothy Wright and Helen Wright and brother, Carl Hall Jr.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 18 from 4 – 6 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.  Donations in Sandra’s honor can be made to scientific research of the donor’s choosing.
