Sarah B. Stevens

Sarah B. "Gayle" Stevens (nee Salisbury), age 74, of Lorain, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at her home, while under the care of New Life Hospice.
She was born on May 29, 1938, in Pikeville, KY, and had moved to Lorain at the age of 16. She enjoyed scratching off her instant lottery tickets, working on crossword puzzles and she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Willard R., her children; Patricia (Tony) Vazquez, of Lorain, Beverly Stevens, of Lorain, Kathy Roberts, of KY, Gregory Stevens, of Lorain, Sandra Keene, of Lorain, Marsha Stevens, of Lorain, Michelle (Richard) Lucas, of Lorain, Dawn (Erick) Coburn, of Lorain, and Crystal (Joey Johnson) Stevens, of Lorain, 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, sisters; Lona, of IL, and Yona, of KY, and brothers; Herb Kingsley, Perry Kingsley, Terry Kingsley, Tom Kingsley, and Arthur Lee Kingsley, all of Harold, KY. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Sarah was preceded in death by a son, Charles Wayne Coleman, a grandson, Matthew Ray Tummel, parents; Tobe and Nellie (nee King) Salisbury, brothers; Clifton Salisbury, Delano Salisbury, Lonzo Salisbury, and Paul Kingsley, and a son-in-law, Gary Keene.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Aug. 11, from 10:00 am, until the time of services at 11:00 am, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Ronnie Gore will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
