Sharon L. Ballew

Sharon Louise Ballew, age 74, passed away on February 13, 2023 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center in Elyria, Ohio.

Sharon was born in Richmond, Kentucky on July 13, 1948 to Edgar T. Ballew and Georgia Louise Benton Ballew.  She leaves behind her son, Justin T. Ballew; brother, George Andrew (Alice) Ballew and sister, Jacquelyn M. (Willie) Carpenter; sister-in-law, Norma Ballew as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her family moved to Dayton, Ohio when she was in the 9^th grade.  She graduated from Dunbar High School and attended Kent State University and University of Dayton.  Sharon managed one of the Red Lobster restaurants in Dayton, Ohio.  She also lived in the Cleveland, Ohio and Elyria, Ohio areas for over forty years.  She retired in 2019 after working at the Nord Center as a Mental Health Technician for thirty years.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 20 from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
