Shirley A. Belmont (nee Landy), 72, of Lorain, died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Born Dec. 9, 1940 in Lorain, she lived in Michigan most of her life, returned to Lorain 18 years ago.
She enjoyed playing bingo, puzzle books and watching CSI and Law and Order.
Surviving are her sons, Danny Zirkle, Randy Zirkle, Roger Zirkle, Michael Belmont, Richard Belmont, Tom Belmont, Gary Belmont; a daughter, Donna Williams; 19 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; a brother, Bud Landy; and sisters, Catherine Simms and Pat Kidd; and her niece and caregiver, Virginia "Ginny" Wright.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Belmont; sons, Robert Belmont, David Belmont and Jim Belmont.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a reflection service at 6:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Graveside service will be Saturday at 12:00 pm in White Chapel Memorial Park, Troy, MI.
