Sophie E. Chrulski

Sophie E. Chrulski (nee Klukovich), age 93, of Elyria, died on Wed., Feb. 14, 2007, at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria.
She was born on Aug. 12, 1913 in Cleveland, Ohio, and was a life long resident of the area, including Lorain and Elyria.
Along with being a dedicated mother and wife, Sophie was employed as a licensed practical nurse in the late 50's and early 60's at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Blue Star Mother's group. Sophie enjoyed volunteering at St. Stanislaus' school cafeteria also. She was a member of the PLAV Drill Team and the National Council of Catholic Women as well.
Sophie enjoyed gardening, especially her roses, and crocheting.
She is survived by her sons, Lawrence, of Vermilion and Daniel, of Elyria, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Leo F., in 1983, a son, Richard, in 1943, a brother, Adolph Klukovich, a sister, Irene Pozzo, and her parents.
Friends will be received on Sun., Feb. 18, from 4 - 7 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where a rosary will be held at 4:00 by the ladies of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Stan's. Funeral Services will be on Mon. at 9:30 am, in the funeral home and a funeral mass will follow at 10:00 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr. David Novak will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Lorain.
