Sophie Roose (nee Semyczyk), age 87, of Avon, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, at the Main Street Care Center, Avon Lake, after a long illness.
She was born on September 19, 1921 in Clymer, PA.
Sophie is survived by her daughters; Judy Nagel, of IL, and Joyce Gravlee, of CO, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters; Ann Radik, of Lorain and Stella Kobal, of Amherst.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, parents; Michael and Mary (nee Julock) Semyczyk, as well as brothers and sisters.
The family held private services. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, handled arrangements.
