Stanley Lavrencic, age 83, of Lorain, died on Friday, October 3, 2008, at Lake Pointe Health Center, Lorain.
He was born on January 1, 1925 in Lorain, where he resided his entire life. He attended Lorain High School. Stanley was enlisted in the United States Army. He was employed at Consumer Ready Mix as a concrete layer. Stanley enjoyed going fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph and Mary (nee Kompare) Lavrencic, his sister, Elvira Hoyson, and his brothers; Joseph and Ivan Lavrencic.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 9:30 am at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. Steven Paliwoda, Pastor of St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church, will officiate. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling arrangements.
