Stefania Pylypiw (nee Bulbach), age 82, of Youngstown, formerly of Lorain, died on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Hampton Woods Nursing Center, in Poland, Ohio, following a short illness.
She was born on October 30, 1924 in the Drohobych, Lviv, Ukraine; coming to Lorain in 1949.
Stefania was employed as a housekeeper for 12 years at St. Joseph Hospital, retiring in 1983, prior to this she was employed at Hoag & Sons Farm for 10 years, after coming from Germany.
She is a member of St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church, Lorain.
Her hobbies were being involved with the church and reading the Ukrainian newspaper.
She is survived by her sons: Peter Pylypiw of Youngstown and Steve Pylypiw of Youngstown, and daughter: Susan Pylypiw of Strongsville, and 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Gregory and Mary (nee Matoylich) Bulbach and husband: Michael Pylypiw of 54 years, in 1999.
The family will receive friends on Thursday July 19, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. at the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where a parastas service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church, 3038 Charleston Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Steve Paliwoda, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
