Suzzette Wright-Mehringer, (nee Mucha) age 77, of Lorain, died on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain.
She was born on June 7, 1929 in Ft. William, Ontario, Canada, moving to Lorain in 1947 from Hamilton, Ontario Canada.
She attended Parks Business College in Hamilton, Ontario.
Suzzette was a waitress for 37 years. She waitressed at Sawmill Creek from 1972-1977, Aquamarine 1977-1978 and McGarvey's 22 years prior to working at Sawmill Creek in 1972. She was also a waitress part time at Castle On The Lake and Elyria Country Club.
She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Suzzette was elected to be the first chief union stewardess for the waitress union at Sawmill Creek. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary #1079, Elyria, Amvets Auxiliary and Moose Auxiliary.
She was survived by her husband of 7 years: Charles Mehringer , of Lorain, daughters: Susan Rosemary (nee Gulett) Horvath, of Clermont, FL, Sandra Joan (nee Gulett) Kordupel of Berlin Heights, OH and Kathleen Eva (nee Gulett) Musselman, of East Earl, PA, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, brother: Andy Mucha of Wellington and sister: Mary Murphy of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband: James Wright in 1995, parents: Andi and Suzzanna (nee Zudel) Mucha, sisters: Helen Kuehn in 1970 and Irene Pasternak in 1983, 2 son- in- laws: William "Bonzo" Hines in 1973 and William R. Horvath.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 603 Washington Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Linwood H. Chamberlain, Jr. pastor will officiate.
Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
