Sylvia Ann Popovich

Sylvia Ann Popovich (nee Vidovich), age 90, of Lorain, died on Friday, June 29, 2007, at Community Health Partners HSC - West, Lorain.
She was born on June 24, 1917, in Flint, MI, moving to Lorain in 1922, where she resided as a homemaker, for the rest of her life.
Sylvia attended Lorain High School. She was a member of St. Vitus Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible, listening and dancing to Polka music, and playing cards.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicki Stewart, of Long Beach, CA, her 2 grandchildren; Greg Rozic, of New York, and Tracy France, of Solon, OH, and 1 great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Rozic in 1999, her husband of 36 years, Joseph Popovich, in 1976, parents; Rok and Anna (nee Sklebek) Vidovich, and her 4 brothers; Steve, Charles, John, and Michael Vidovich.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, for graveside services at 10:00 am, at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. Simon Nekic, Pastor of St. Vitus, will officiate. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling arrangements.
