Terry Linden, 54, of Lorain, died Sunday, October 29, 2006 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 10, 1952 in Oberlin. He was a life long resident of Lorain.
Terry worked as a self employed private police officer for 5 years. Prior to that, he worked for Industrial Security Service of Lakewood.
In the 1980's, Terry volunteered as an auxiliary policeman for the Lorain Police Department.
He was a Cleveland Indians fan, and avid hunter, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and loved children.
Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Janice (nee Wright); daughters, Sherri Short of Lorain, Tracee Price of Medina, and Terri Linden of Lorain; 9 grandchildren; brothers, Casper Linden of Lorain, Robert McCloy of Houston, TX, and Raymond Dutro of Vermilion; a sister, Regina Tufts of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. Linden in 1994 and Rosella (nee McCloy) Linden in 1994.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. Rev. James Peter, Chaplain of New Life Hospice will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
