Theodore "Ted" Zaborowski

Theodore "Ted" Zaborowski, age 62, of Sheffield Lake, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at the Cleveland Clinic, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on April 7, 1948 in Lorain, where he lived his entire life. Ted was a 1966 graduate of Brookside High School. He also earned his Associates Degree at Lorain County Community College.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era from 1969 until 1971.
Ted was employed as an electrician for US Steel for 39 years, retiring in 2008.
He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Sheffield Lake. He was also a member of the United Steelworkers Local Union #1104.
He enjoyed golfing and loved being with his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Hoa (nee Lee) Zaborowski, siblings; Tina (Tom) Helock, of PA, Victor (Linda) Zaborowski, Sr., of Sheffield Village, John (Susan) Zaborowski, of Sheffield Lake, and Sandra Balog, of Sheffield Lake. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Teofil J. and Hedy D. (nee Bilewicz) Zaborowski and a sister, Janet Zaborowski.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. mass at St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, 521 Harris Road, Sheffield Lake. Rev. Fr. Stephen Shields, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, where full military honors will be conducted by the Disabled American Veterans Louis Paul Proy Chapter 20.
