Theresa Kacsandy (nee Loydl), age 90, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at New Life Hospice Residential Center, following a lengthy illness.
Born on October 30, 1916 in Cambridge, OH, she came to Lorain in the late 1930's.
Mrs. Kacsandy was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, and it's Rosary Society. She also belonged to the Jolly 60's. She enjoyed baking and collecting cookbooks.
She is survived by 2 sons, Joseph S. Kacsandy, of Vermilion and Lewis J. Kacsandy, of Avon Lake; a daughter Rosalie A. Kovacs, of Amherst; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, in 2006; father, Andrew Loydl, mother, Rosalie (nee Halecek) Strnad, and step father, Joseph Strnad; 3 brothers, Frank Kapalin, Joseph Strnad and Lewis Strnad; and a sister, Beatrice Duran.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 from 6-9 p.m. at the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 6 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, Ohio.
