Thomas "Red Dog" Bertram, 70, of Lorain, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at his home.
Born May 6, 1947 in Cresson, Pennsylvania, he moved to Lorain in 1960 where he worked at the Ford Motor Company as a tow motor operator for over thirty-three years.
Thomas was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 2000 in Sheffield Ohio. He loved motorcycles, grilling, the Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time with his friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy (Ron) Westmoreland of North Port, Florida and Kim (John) Ragnoni of Lorain; son, Bruce Jacobs II of Lorain; sister, Janet Kurtz-Lokai of Pompano Beach, Florida as well as 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife and best friend of 22 years, Mary Ann (nee Los) Bertram; parents, Edward and Stella (nee Hammond) Bertram; brothers, Paul Bertram and William "Bill" Bertram and sister, Helen Guyaux.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm. Rev.
