Timothy "Tim" A. Ochrin, 46, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 surrounded by his loving family following a lengthy illness.
Born Feb. 19, 1970 in Lorain, he lived in Lorain his entire life. He was a 1988 graduate of Southview High School. Tim worked as a crane operator at Republic Steel for 18 years.
He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union Local 1104 and enjoyed his computer, working on cars, technology and science fiction, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his daughter, Kya Kepic of Lorain; a son, Juston Poole of Avon Lake; granddaughters, Alivia, Autumn, Grace, Hannah, Summer and Chyanne; mother, Cheryl Ochrin of Lorain; brothers, Andrew of Medina and Steve of Lorain; and a sister, Chrissy Ochrin of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola "Kim" (nee Poole) Ochrin in 2007; and father, Andrew Ochrin in 1999. Paternal grandparents, Ivan and Mary Ochrin and maternal grandparents, Dempsey and Louise Miller.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am. Robert J. Dybo, Deacon of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. To send online condolences go to
