Timothy J. Stecz

Timothy J. “Tim” Stecz, age 64, passed away at his residence in Elyria on Thursday, April 25, 2024, after a brief illness.
 

Born March 30, 1960, in Elyria, he was a Lorain County resident his entire life. He graduated from Elyria West High School and made a career driving a truck. 
 

He was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Lorain. He enjoyed fishing, barbequing, and spending time with his family. 
 

Tim leaves behind a loving family, including his children, Nicholas and Morgan Stecz of Dallas, TX, mother, Beverly Stecz (nee Nairy) of Lorain, sisters, Sue Kuhn of Elyria and Laura Harrington (Gary) of New Philadelphia, Goddaughter, Kristin Mathis of Vermilion, as well as 4 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory. 
 

He was preceded in death by his father, John Stecz. 
 

Divine Liturgy in memory of Tim will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11^th at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 2711 W. 40th Street, Lorain, OH. The Reverend Andrew Nagrant, Pastor, will officiate.
