Travis "Trav" R. Spurlock, age 19 of Amherst died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 suddenly.
He was born on October 25, 1987 in Amherst. He graduated from Clearview High School in 2006.
He was employed at Home Depot, Lorain, where he was the tow motor operator in the garden area. Prior to this he was employed at Moore's Masonary, where he worked with his uncle Joe.
He also worked with his uncle Steve for some time. Travis was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Elyria, where he was an altar boy.
He enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, football, going hunting, fishing, skiing, 4 wheeling, golfing, and keeping his "My Space" account up to date. Most of all, he enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Veronica Spurlock (nee: Moore), his sister, Megan Spurlock, and his brother, Zachery Spurlock, all of Amherst, a niece, Nevaeh Spurlock, of Amherst, his Uncle Joe Moore, of Elyria, grandparents; John Moore, of Lorain, Margaret and Denver Casto, of Lorain, Doug and Arlene Spurlock, of Elyria, and 3 half-sisters; Brandy, Brittney, and Danielle Spurlock, all of Elyria. He is also survived 8 Aunts, 9 Uncles, and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Yvette Spurlock (nee McFadden), and aunt: Angel Spurlock.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 25, 2007 from 5-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a 9:30 a.m. mass at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Elyria. Rev. Fr. James Ols, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. Ohio.
