Victor M. Rivera, age 75, of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at his home.
He was born on June 20, 1936, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He lived in Chicago with his wife, where they owned and ran, "Vic and Margie's Grocery," before moving to Lorain in 1985.
Vic enjoyed bowling and participating in various bowling leagues.
He is survived by his sons; Victor, of Lorain and Steven, of Chicago, daughters; Anita Crespo, of Chicago and Ludy Caballero, of Bay Village, 4 grandchildren; Nicole, Rachel, Steven Jr., and Roberto, his mother, Zenaida (nee Fernandez) Rivera, of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and 2 brothers; Jorge and Jose, both of Puerto Rico.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Margaret "Margie" Rivera (nee Dailey), just 2 months ago, on Sept. 18, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his father, Ceferino Rivera.
The family is holding private services. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling arrangements.
