Victor Sebeck, age 82, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at New Life Hospice Residential Center, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on July 29, 1923 in Lorain and has been a lifelong resident here.
He served in the US Navy as a Seaman First Class from 1942-1945 during World War II.
He was employed by Lorain Works US Steel as a driver for 36 years, retiring in 1977.
He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans Louis Paul Proy Chapter #20 and the United Steel Workers Union Local #1104.
Victor was a horse racing enthusiast and enjoyed watching golf.
Surviving is his caregiver: Barbara Velez, of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Eli Sebeck and Mary (nee Radojcic) Sebeck.
Burial will be Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Ridge Hill Memorial Park. The Disabled American Veterans Louis Paul Proy Chapter #20 will conduct full military honors. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
