Viola "Kim" Ochrin (nee Poole), age 45, of Lorain, died on Monday, January 1, 2007, at her residence, after a very long illness.
She was born on April 2, 1961, in Sharon, PA. She has lived in Lorain during most of her life, for the past 30 years. Kim was a 1979 graduate of Lorain High.
She was a member of the Broadway Assembly Church, Lorain, where she volunteered much of her time through. One program that she had devoted a lot of her time to was the "Love Extended" program through the church, which distributed clothing and food to people in need.
Kim enjoyed working with crafts, doing puzzles, reading, and helping people. She especially enjoyed being a homemaker for her family.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Timothy Ochrin, of Lorain, a son, Juston Poole, of Lorain, and a daughter, Kya Lee Kepic, of Lorain, 4 grandchildren, her step-mother, Flora Poole, of Fairchance, PA, 4 brothers; Micah Sutton, of Fairchance, PA, Edward Poole, of Mechanicsville, VA, Chuck Nahrbeski, of Buffalo, NY, and Preston Poole, of Lorain, her 3 sisters; Bonnie Rudy, of Sandy Ridge, PA, Carolyn Taylor, of Lakewood, OH, and Brandy Burke, of Oberlin, OH, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Orville and Carolyn (nee Nunnery) Poole.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2007, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where services will be held the following morning at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Matt Jones, Pastor of Broadway Assembly, will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
