Virginia M. Edmonson

Virginia M. Edmonson (nee Hauger), age 63, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, December 06, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph Residential Center, Lorain, following a brief illness.
She was born on May 4, 1942 in Berlin, PA. She moved to Lorain from Pennsylvania in 1960.
Virginia was employed at the former Aqua Marine Motel, Avon Lake for 10 years in the housekeeping dept.
She was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Elyria.
Virginia enjoyed gardening, outside work, loved time with her grandchildren, playing bingo and was an avid Cleveland Indians Fan.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years: Donald W. Edmonson, of Lorain, son: Donald W. Edmonson, Jr., of Lorain, daughters: Debra L. Forrest, of Orange Park, FL, Master Sergeant Sherry A. Anderson, of Nellis Air Force Base, NV, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, brother: Merle Hauger, of Somerset, PA, and sisters: Dorothy Hauger, of Pittsburgh, PA and Mary Lamar, of Marion, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Earl and Ann (nee Lape) Hauger, sisters: Elsie and Sarah, and one granddaughter, Hope Forrest.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 8, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. mass at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Elyria. Rev. Fr. James Ols, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, 5255 North Abbe Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
