Wanda J. Sawyer (nee Clem), 72, of Nova, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2011 at The Good Shepherd in Ashland following a lengthy illness.
Born May 27, 1939 in Weston, West Virginia to the late Hugh and Evelyn (nee Butcher) Clem, Wanda moved to Wellington in 1956. In 1991, she moved to Nova where she has lived since.
She worked for Forest City Technologies in Wellington for 25 years, retiring in 2010
Wanda was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagle #2051 Ladies Auxiliary in Wellington, and enjoyed gardening, flowers and Nascar.
Surviving is her son, Steven (Suzie) Sawyer of Columbus; daughters, Kimberly (Gary) Gayheart of Nova, Tammy (Larry) Phillips of Wellington; and Sherri (David) Lamlein of Vermilion; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; a brother, Darryl (Joetta) Clem of Weston, West Virginia; and a sister, Wilma (Oran) Sprouse of Weston, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Clem, Roger Clem and Charles Clem.
Services for the family will be private.
