Zaida Trinidad

Zaida Trinidad (nee Villanueva), age 66 of Lorain, passed away peacefully in the afternoon of Saturday, May 4, 2024, at her residence following a lengthy illness.

Born February 22, 1958, to Juan and Irma (nee Agosto) Villanueva in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, Zaida moved to Lorain in 1985.  

She enjoyed gardening, going to garage sales, sewing, and playing Sudoku and dominos.

Surviving is her husband of 36 years, Hermin Trinidad; children, Betzaida Trinidad, David Trinidad and Mildred (Josue) Sanchez; grandchildren, Jayden, Kaylani, Ezra and Micah; as well as many brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents as well as her brother, Jorge Villanueva.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain.  Rev. William Thaden will officiate.
