Zeneido Ortiz Miranda, age 84, of Princeton, FL, formally of Lorain, died on Sunday, December 25, 2005 at the Baptist Hospital in Florida, after a brief illness.
He was born on June 20, 1921 in Coamo, Puerto Rico. From there, he moved to Lorain, where he had resided for 30 years before finally moving to Princeton, Florida after retirement.
Zeneido was employed at US Steel in the Pipe Mills for 30 years, before retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Templo Bethel, Lorain.
He had enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with his family.
Zeneido is survived by his wife of 30 years, Blanca Ortiz, of Princeton, FL, his two sons; Ruben Ortiz, Sr., of North Ridgeville and David Ortiz, of McLean, Virginia, a daughter, Ana L. Bourque, of Sunrise, FL, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Justa Ortiz (nee Fontonez) in 1975, a son, Zeneido Ortiz, Jr, in 1968 while in battle in the Vietnam War, and 5 siblings.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave, Lorain, where services will be held the following morning at 10:00 a,m, Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
